What tools do you use?

I use:

  • Watercolor

Do you take commissions?

Yes. I do take commission projects. If you have a project, you can leave a message through contact page or send me an email at nanditapalart@gmail.com

How much time it takes to create an illustration?

Depends on concept and the story behind the illustration. Sometimes it takes 2-3 hours and sometimes it takes days to complete the illustration.

How does the illustration project/ commissions works?

  • After the quote and timeline is agreed on, I send first invoice for draft stage.
  • Then once payment is cleared, I send rough sketches to client for review.
  • After client decides which sketch they like more, a second invoice is sent and once the payment is cleared, I work on that sketch to make detailed line art and send it to client for review.
  • A third invoice is sent and once the payment is cleared. Then the first rough colored version is sent for review and after the client is fine with it, I finalize the colored version and send for a final review.
  • Once the client likes the final version, I send the final files that the client can use.

Can I contact you if I have a different kind of illustration project that is not based on your usual style?

Of course you can contact me even if you have a different kind of project.

If the project if something that interests me or a kind of project similar to the ones listed above, we can discuss it further. If you have a project that is very different from what I design and you need my advice on how to proceed with it, I will be happy to help you with it.

How do I contact you for a project that I have?

Send me a brief of the project.

What do I mention in the Project Brief?

  • What kind of illustration you are looking for?
  • Have you thought of a color palette for the illustration?
  • A brief on what the your requirement is and what you want to portray?
  • What is your budget range?
  • Who is your target audience?
  • Size details.

Size requirements/ die cuts

If you have specific size requirements, do let me know. I will design the project based on your requirement.

For packaging and label design, you can provide me Die-cuts.

Payments and Invoices

How do I make payment?

I will send you invoice through PayPal. You can make the payment using the invoice you receive.

Do you accept bank transfers?

Very rarely. Usually bank transfers are considered as inward/ outward remittance and I will have to show receipts, reasons for the transfer and it includes charges so I usually don't accept payments through bank transfers.

Only in cases of some special commission projects or as award money, I use Bank Transfers.

How does payment works?

  • The first invoice will be for draft payment, usually ranges from $75-$100. This amount needs to be paid after we have an agreement on project requirement and quotation. After this amount is paid, I will start working on the first draft with 2-3 concept design options. Once you like one of the concepts, I will go ahead and send you the send invoice for the next stage of the project.
  • Once you make payment for the second invoice, based on your selected concept, I will go ahead and work on the design.
  • If the quote is divided into 3 invoices, a third invoice will be sent after stage 2 of the design process if over. Once the payment is made, I will start working on third part of the project.
  • Each design stage will have 2-3 edits included.

Do you charge for additional elements that needs to be added?

Yes. Any additional slide/ page/ elements will be charged. Depending on the scope of work, the amount will be charged.

Mostly this ranges from $50 and above.

What do I do if I have some more edits in the project after it is complete?

You can send me an email with the required edits. Additional edits will be charged depending on the scope of work.
